Precious' Chester Made Story: My classmates and lecturers made the experience enjoyable and rewarding
Find out how Precious is Chester Made.
An Enjoyable and Rewarding Learning Experience at Chester
I completed my Master of Business Administration during the COVID-19 period. Despite the challenges of that time, I truly enjoyed the interactive online classes, which allowed me to engage meaningfully with both my classmates and lecturers. Their efforts made the learning experience both enjoyable and rewarding.
Careers and Employability Helped with My Career Path
During my studies, I also had the privilege of participating in a Careers and Employability programme. This provided valuable insight into internship opportunities, including experience with Bright Network.
The picture at the top of this blog was taken on my last day as an intern. At that point, I already had a clear vision of my career path and what lay ahead.
Graduating from the University of Chester
My graduation photo below is especially meaningful to me, as it represents the culmination of hard work, dedication, and many late nights. It serves as a reminder that all the effort was truly worth it in the end.

Post-graduation: An Internship Opened the Door to My Career
After graduating, I secured an internship with a financial institution through the Careers and Employability team. I was selected as part of the 10,000 Black Interns Programme, and after successfully completing the six-week paid internship, I applied and got a full-time role within the Asset Management division of the firm.
I have now been working there for three years, during which I also took a year of maternity leave. I truly enjoy my role, and the flexibility, supportive culture and inclusive environment allow me to be my authentic self at work.
I can confidently say that the University of Chester played a significant role in paving the way for my career here in the UK.
