Regulations and Policies

The regulations apply to all members of the University, including students. The regulations govern the academic functions of the University and form the framework for learning, teaching, assessment and other aspects of the student experience at the University of Chester. The regulations are governed by Senate and supported by policies approved by delegated authority.

Academic Regulations
These Academic Regulations form the principal regulatory document of the University of Chester. Their purpose is to provide a framework through which the academic activity of the University is governed. They define the powers, responsibilities and expectations that underpin the design, delivery and quality assurance of courses leading to the awards of the University.

Modular Courses Assessment Regulations
These regulations apply to modular undergraduate and postgraduate courses which lead to an award of the University, and to those modules which are taken for academic credit only. The regulations explain the rights and responsibilities of students and staff in relation to assessment.

Modular Courses Framework
This framework sets out the rules and principles for the delivery of modular undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Regulations for the Degree of Bachelor Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery MBChB
These regulations apply to the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and should be considered in conjunction with the Academic Regulations and wider, relevant frameworks.
