Dr Claire Wilson
Lecturer

Biography
Dr Claire Wilson is a Lecturer in Pharmacology at University of Chester, with research interests in transcriptomic and epigenomic research combining both wet-lab and bioinformatics approaches. Current research, with collaborations at University of Liverpool, investiagtes the the role of DNA methylation in gene expression regulation, with a focus on long non-coding RNAs. In addition, Claure also provides bioinformatic support on a collaboration between University of Liverpool and University of Birmingham related to oncogene-induced replication stress pathways. Previous research focused on cardio-physiology changes in disease, and Claire continues to work on cardiovascular-focused transcriptomic projects with groups at University of Manchester.
